Keep It Going - Iconic

This is a look for Keep It Going in Iconic. KIG is a longwear shadow/eyeliner duo that comes with TWO shades of a creamy gel product. It dries fast, and stays on all day. It can also be layered to build up color intensity. Iconic comes with a gold color and a green color. I used the gold as shadow and the green as liner. Just to give you an idea of how "longwear" this stuff is, I put it on at 10am, it is now 8:30 pm and it looks exactly the same as when I put it on, and in that timespan I also took a nice little nap. Now thats what I call longwear! Perfect for long days at the office, beach days, any time you want your make-up to last without having to reapply this is what you want! AND it comes in a variety of colors! I'll be doing more in the next week so keep checking back :-)

You might also notice the earrings I'm wearing are from the new Rio collection! they are the Brazillian Bazzarr earrings in silvertone with brown beads. just as I reviewed with the brass tone/pink beads they are large but very lightweight and i loved them so much I had to have them in both colors!

Ok on to the Iconic look...

* Step 1: apply the gold tone.
~ using my ring finger I applied the gold tone from the kig duo all over my lid & in my crease.
~ this part isnt necessary because this is a non-crease gel, but I wanted to add a little more intensity to my color so I tool imark in stellar (a gold tone) and using the eyeshadow brush from the snap to it case applied it over the kig gold color.

* Step 2: apply the green color.
~ using a flat slanted eyeliner brush (i use ecotools or mark) i applied the green color. i lined my upper lid going all the way in to my inner corner, and winged it out a litte. I lined my lower waterline and winged that out a little as well.

and thats it!

other products used: Good Riddance Concealer, Get A Tint, Matte-nifficent, Dew Drenched lip color (Rain).

hello again ladies!

as promised here is a short tutorial on the look i did today. i was inspired by LIGHTS (if you dont knwo who that is, go to youtube and search for LIGHTS music video, shes awesome!). ok so here it is. kind of a dark look i know, prolly good for a night out or something fun like that.

Step 1: after applying your base face make-up, start the eyes!
* using your ring finger or pinky apply I-glimmer in black all over the lid. this step can get messy, so i keep q-tips and make up removing wipes with me to clean up the excess before moving on to the next step, so that the shadow is right where it is supposed to be.
* dip your mark flat eyeliner brush into the i-glimmer. use this too neaten up the edges of the lid where you may have smudged/cleaned, to get nice smooth lines. then go on the bottom lid right on the lash line. connect the top & bottom color by lining your inner corner.
* then comes the outer part. this can be tricky if you arent using thr right brush, especially since the i-glimmer is a cream not a powder. still using the flat eyeliner brush and i-glimmer in black, fill in the little triangle area on the outer corner of your eye so that the point is carried out. start on the top, then connect to the bottom, then fill in. your eye should now be completely surrounded with the black i-glimmer.

Step 2: add some color!
*using a mark blending brush apply I-mark in Piccadilly in the crease, from the outer about 2/3 in (not all the way in!!). just a little to give a little definition in a color. this is a dark purple so it wont stand out like crazy but will give a nice hint of color to your eye. if you mess up the i-glimmer just go in with a q-tip/make up wipe and clean it up,then go back over it with the flat eyeliner brush dipped in i-glimmer to neaten it up. if you want to add a highlight color choose a light shade such as biscotti and apply it with the all over eye shadow brush on the brow bone and under the eye.

Step 3: Eye Liner
*apply mark eyemarker in Jet along the lower water line from corner to corner.

Step 4: Mascara, the finishing touch.
* curl your eyelashes. Then apply mark make it big mascara in Raven to the top and bottom lashes. remember to wiggle from root to tip in order to cover every lash.

and thats it! pretty simple, nothing too crazy. hope you like it and if you are interested in any of the products you can email me abby.markgirl@gmail.com

Mag 5 Review

Alright I FINALLY got a chance to take some pix to give you all a good review.

The items I purchased are:
*Mark Brazilian Bazaar Earrings (pink) - $14
*Mark Instant Vacation RioBikini Fragrance Mist - $18
*Mark Take Me To Rio Bag - $40
*Mark Totally Balmed SPF 15 Tinted Lip Balm (totally sweet & totally bare) - $8

let the review begin!!

First up....Brazilian Bazaar Earrings:

Absolutely loveee these earrings! they are really big, as you can see, but are also very light weight. if you look at my earlobes in the pix you will see that they are not drooping despite the size of the earrings. i got them in the pink tone but they also come in brown.

Next up is... Take Me To Rio Bag:

when i first opened up my mark package and saw this, i was a little scared. i automatically thought wooo thats flashy! but, despite the fact that its not my typical style and is in fact very bright and shiny, i have grown very fond of this bag. i love it now lol. i use it all the time, but i think it will be especially fun in the summer as a beach bag. its HUGE too! i can totally fit all my text books and notebooks in here and still have room! it has two large zipper pockets on the insite, and a small snap pocket on the front perfect for a cell phone. so do not be afreaid of this bag at first sight. if you wanna actually see it/touch it in person before committing to the $40 price tag, shoot me an email and we can arrange something. and of course if you do decide to purchase it and dont fall in love as i have, you can return it for a full refund. BUT i think you will love it!

Next in line is... RioBikini Fragrance Mist:
i am in LOVE with this scent! its my current favorite perfume. its like they took summer and put it in a bottle, thats what it smells like. its light and refreshing, perfect for everyday and a day at the beach. i have gotten so many compliments on this one, from guys AND girls, so it is approved by both sexes haha. i have samples of this if you want to smell it first! and in the picture I put it next to my Calm and Composed lotion to show you the size of the bottle in comparison. its a good size bottle, especially is you are like me and have a billion different scents. it will last me quite a while!

Last up is Totally Balmed. I dont have any pix of this one, just a review. my favorite is the totally sweet. its almost unnoticable, very sheer with a hint of shimmer. totally bare is not sheer, its like a rusty red. not like fire engine red, more brownish red. i think it would be better on darker skintones than pale like me haha but i still like it :-) the balm itself if a thick waxy balm, but not sticky or overly thick. in my opinion its better than chapstick because of the texture. you know ur lips are protected and you get a hint of color too, all while getting some SPF 15 protection form the sun. byebye chapstick, you have been replaced! size wise its also a little bigger than your typical chapstick tube, so you get more product.

ok thats it for the reviews! i hope you liked them and my pix. questions? want some samples or to place and order? email me! abby.markgirl@gmail.com

and if you are wondering about my make up in the pix, dont worry, that blog is coming up next!!

Party Hosting

This blog post is all about parties! so if you are interested in recieving a bunch of free products for you and your friends, then keep reading.

To host a party all you have to do it...throw a party! pick whatever theme you want, or just keep it simple and have it be a mark party. most choose something along the line of a "girls night in" sort of party. it's your party, all I do is bring tons of mark stuff and take up about an hour of the party. the rest of the party is yours to do with as you please with your friends.

In about an hour I will play a few games that will include prizes, introduce everyone to Mark. products, give everyone a chance to try out the products, answer questions, and take orders.

so now you are probably wondering about that free stuff right? well here is what the hostess receives:

* you automatically get a free gift (right now it is a Flip For It color pallet, but it changes over time) & 10% off your order.
* you can get a BIGGER gift, even a bag full of goodies, with the following:
~ at least 10 guests attend the party
~ the total sales at the party come to $500 or more
~ 2 or more guests book future parties

All party guests will also receive some goodies :-)
For payment at parties CHECK is the preferred method because it is easiest, but cash is also accepted. Guests who can't make it to the party can order online with a credit card and you will still get credit for their order.

It's really a great deal! you get to throw a party to hang out with your friends, you and your guests get to play with/try out tons of make up/jewelry/clothes/etc., and you get free stuff!

if you're interested shoot me an email abby.markgirl@gmail.com
